On the radio right now is a song called "A Moment Changes Everything" by David Gray (thank you Google search for the name!). I'm listening to this song while I'm studying acute and traumatic brain injuries. On my mind today are many of my past patients who have had such brain injuries, and have either not survived or have had detrimental life-long effects. One in particular, who suddenly passed away, has made me remember how tremendously fragile life is. I had to take a moment to recognize my blessings and to remember to live life to it's fullest, because only God knows what will happen in the next moment. I think only God knows how grateful I am for my family and especially my sweet husband. C.S. Lewis said "Life is too deep for words, so don't try to describe it, just live it." With that, I'm going to go live my life (and by live, I mean study my little heart out for the next couple hours!) Love you sweetie!!
