A Silent Prayer

Recently Ricky and I have had the unique opportunity to photograph some end-of-life situations. Since starting to work in the pediatric intensive care unit, I have had to search the depths of my soul to understand death and to build a testimony of God and His eternal plan for us. After 3 difficult years, I have begun to understand and have faith in God's plan for us. The gap between heaven and earth is extremely thin at the time of death. The blessing of feeling God take a child into His loving arms cannot be surpassed. I pray daily for the families of the children that God has seen fit to welcome into His arms early. I pray for the husbands who have lost their wives. May He bless the lives of those left behind to mourn, and to have faith that they will see their loved ones again.

“The end of life is to be like God, and the soul following God will be like Him.”
-Socrates
