Now that it's nearly 4 months after the new year, I've FINALLY decided to start achieving some of my vague and poorly defined resolutions :) Who
really actually makes realistic resolutions? Does that actually happen? Things always seem so achievable and easy when you have a WHOLE year to get 'em done... Better to start late than never I suppose! Somehow that thing called Life always manages to get in the way. Shame on you Life! So selfish.
Well, one of my goals is to blog more often. How's that for vague... I guess if you don't clearly define your goal, then you never
really fail, right? How can I fail if blogging "more often" can be justified as "blogging at all"? So, in honor of achieving goals, here is a post. It ain't much, but a post is a post! Check, resolution one success!
So, resolution #2, finish remodeling. Yes, another vague, and really huge, goal. To accomplish this one, we need to paint our house and patio, demolish (yes, that means tear up, smash, rip, shred) our master bathroom, landscape, and a few other touch-up projects. After nearly 30 years of sitting in the hot So. Cal sun, our house could use a make-over/facelift/full plastic surgery... So for those of you who forget what my house looked like when we bought it, here you go! (although the grass and landscaping is all but gone now...). Isn't she cute? We should give her a name... suggestions?
Hmmm...that's a grainy pic... I should have taken it myself... Oh well. So we fixed the stucco, some missing tiles and rotting wood, and hired some guys to come paint the house (I am not about to do THAT myself...WAAAAY too much work!). Here's what it looks like now. It's a bit hard to tell, but if you look at the trim on the top left, you can see the original white color by the tiles. Please ignore the really ugly grass...
I am excited to post the finished product (hopefully) this weekend! :) Yay for hiring people to get nice legs from climbing ladders all day long! I'd like the legs, just not the ladder climbing part! Plus the possible falling to your death...not pleasant.
Oooo! And I almost forgot! You can look forward to some
awesome demolition pics! The bathroom is a disaster. It sure was fun taking out some frustration/stress on my bathroom walls :) I'm a VERY happy (almost) stress free camper :)
Ciao for now!

I'm really excited to see your before and after pictures! I was so impressed with your kitchen update, I'm really looking forward to it. :) And you're doing way better than I am on those New Year's resolution things. I should probably go look and see what mine were again... ;)
Hahaha! Hey, I just try to give myself credit for whatever small things I can! Keeps me going :) Besides, you already do so many cool things - you don't need resolutions!
