Nature's Fireworks

This Independence Day I feel tremendous gratitude for our founding fathers. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to live the life I do - to be able to be married to the husband of my dreams, to pursue my own career, and to worship how I choose. Sure there are many political issues that I disagree with, and (frequently) complain about. In fact, I can be more ungrateful than I would like to admit. The truth is, despite the flaws, we are extremely blessed to live here. Our founding fathers saw the potential of this country. With the guidance of a loving Heavenly Father, they built the constitution, and established this free country. I hope we can each go forth today a little more grateful for what we have been given.

I hope everyone enjoys some fireworks tonight! Here are a few pictures of plants that kind of reminded me of fireworks. I took these on our trip to the Getty Villa last weekend. Such an amazing place :) Now, I'm off to BBQ and hang by the pool and fire pit (is that a weird combination? I sure love it!!)
